Hill House Cottage is located near to Templecombe village centre in Somerset, and has been created from a delightful self-contained wing of a Grade ll Listed early 18th century house. The cottage has been restored and refurbished by the owners to a superb standard, and successfully blends traditional charm with all the modern fixtures and fittings. Character features include exposed stonework, flagstone floors, and a welcoming woodburning stove in the sitting room. The accommodation includes two bedrooms; contemporary fitted kitchen with dining area; and a beautiful modern bathroom. Hill House Cottage is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the local shops and pubs, and within reach of the many attractions nearby including Wincanton, Wookey Hole, Wells and Cheddar Gorge. This cottage makes a wonderful touring base from which to explore this stunning part of England.

Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
